TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME…

Hello! And HAPPY JULY!! I can’t believe we’re full swing in the middle of summer already! And of course, homeschool life has me planning for the next school year already (I love to plan, so it’s okay, it’s not a downer, promise lol), BUT still kind of stressing about the fact that summer already feels like it’s slipping away… When in fact, it is NOT! I know this, logically, I just have to remind myself of it every now and then. After getting back from our trip to Idaho (post on that coming soon!), we’ve kind of been laying low and I’m feeling the nudge to DO ALL OF THE SUMMER THINGS and really live it up and soak it allllll in, so that’s what we’re doing from here on out. Enjoying it all, of course taking things slow and intentional, but also HAVING ALL OF THE FUN that summer brings! Because there’s only so much of it, and I’m feeling the urge to truly embrace it!

Okay, wow. Thanks for hanging in on my Summer Manifesto 2025. 😉 The whole point of today’s post, is to share that we finally went to our first MLB baseball game as a family, and it was AMAZING. It was on Zack’s birthday, we grabbed lunch and went to a thrift store (as one does), and were just meandering and figuring out what to do, and Zack came up with the idea, and we got super cheap tickets since it was so last minute, but they ended up being great seats (no one behind us, yes!) so it all worked out perfectly!

The kids had a blast, all of the snacks were had and enjoyed, and it was just so much fun. Zack and I used to go to baseball games pretty regularly (and of course I grew up going to my brother’s baseball games- they both played through high school, so lots of my childhood was spent there!), and I just have a deep love for baseball. It’s my favorite sport! We are lucky to have a great AAA baseball team, and just this year (and for the next 2 years), the A’s are actually playing in our hometown (while they transition from Oakland to Las Vegas), so we are totally claiming them for the next few years as OUR Sacramento A’s! 😉 I mean, we’re still SF Giants fans, of courrrrse, but I have no qualms rooting for our current home team too. Plus, going to our home field and watching a Major League Baseball Game was SO surreal and cool!!!

One new (to us anyway, it’d been YEARS since we’d actually been to a game) rule is that your bag has to be clear, so luckily our neighbors had a clear backpack they leant us, to bring in our water bottles, which was so nice. If you’re planning on going to a game, this clear adidas backpack is super cute (heck, all of the adidas backpacks are cute!! hello, back to school shopping too)!

We had the best time and I officially have the itch for MORE BASEBALL GAMES!! And of course more of everything summery, but now I’m just repeating myself. 😉

What’s your favorite sport?
Have you been to an MLB game before?
